Throughout their degree courses, Higher Education (HE) Equine students are assessed in a variety of ways ‐ through assignments, presentations or practical tasks, for example. Traditionally, on completion these are marked by a lecturer, and the grade returned to the student along with annotations on their performance. This feedback can then be used as a basis for improvement of future work. Other types of feedback methods are available too, and it is the effectiveness of all approaches which is appraised in this project.

URB@N stands for 'Undergraduate Research Bursaries at Northampton'. It is a bursary scheme offering opportunities for current undergraduate students to participate in a pedagogic research project taking place at the University of Northampton.
